Thank you for stopping by my blog! I am so glad that you are here! 


To begin, my name is Felicia, and I have been married to my husband, Joe, for thirteen years. Together, we have three beautiful children this side of Heaven. The baby and the youngest of our children, Wilder, passed away last year and is in his Heavenly home with Jesus. We have two dogs, Dixie and Hank and are currently restoring an old farmhouse. I am finishing my master's degree so it doesn't feel like I have a lot of spare time but when I do, I like to spend all the extra time that I can with my kids and doing things they like to do. 


I wanted to create a blog for many reasons, but my primary focus is to share with others: my life, navigating through grief after the loss of our son, and my relationship with God. I also hope to share pictures, videos, recipes, inspiration, etc. As a college student, I am used to writing and sharing but blogging is completely out of my comfort zone! However, I have discovered that life is short and anything that is worth doing sometimes requires feeling uncomfortable for some amount of time.

New Year: New Goals

The new year is here! I have thought a lot about what I would like to do in the upcoming year. There is a part of me feels guilty that I've made it to another year without my son, Wilder. I miss him more than words can even describe. He has been gone for over a year now, but my mind still counts him in. I know that it may seem strange, but there are still mornings that I wake up and remember that he's gone, and it hits just like when he left. The way I think of goals now has just changed and I want them to reflect my personal priorities instead of what people think my priorities should be.  Up until recently it seems like I've always had the same resolutions: eat better, work out, read the Bible more, learn something new, do more for others, etc. Pretty vague and mostly are boring I know considering I only try for like the first week and then give up.
